We received a kind letter from one of our loyal customers Isaac. He reached out to us to share his recent experience with our pomades. He posted this thread yesterday on Badger & Blade: "I just wanted to start off by saying im in NO WAY affiliated with Grant's. I just wanted to take a pictures of all my current pomades. There are water based and petroleum based pomades. As you can see in the pic, I have taken an extreme liking to the Grant's and bought about eight tins of the stuff.... The Grants is almost waxlike in its setup for combing. it doesnt "wet" the hair or curl it, and actually sets up nicely.... I can recomb my hair at any time and have the product set it self up again. It leaves the hair looking wet/slick, but not as much as petroleum pomades. Now it does come in two varieties, putty and regular. The putty is a limited edition extra hold for the summer heat. I dont find it to be that binding, and actually have 6 tins of this compared to the two of the regular. Scent is a nice sweet almond."

We've recommended movies from time to time here, like Serpico and Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense. All good films we'd watch over and over again. But probably the most important film we've watched recently is Inside Job, a documentary film about the financial crisis of 2007-2010. Who cares that it won the Academy Award last year, what's important is that this film exposes the crap that took place over time to get us to where we are today. It wasn't one or two decisions, but a process of deep-rooted and systematic corruption by the financial services industry and our government that's supposed to be protecting us.
I don't know about you, but this recession really F'd up a lot of people - our family, friends, and small business owners like us. Most of us are still struggling hard. But the people who did this to us are all doing just fine. They made their mega millions. Some got promoted. No one went to jail.
Why should you care about credit rating agencies, scheisty college professors, and what the hell derivaties are? Because they're all in on this mess, along with both democrats and republicans. The story is told well, at a good pace, and you're given the facts. We were pissed watching this film, but you have to watch it. Now. It's available on Netflix. Then go tell everyone else you know to watch it.
