Joe the Barber
Inspirational story to get your weekend started: Known as "Joe the barber," 82-year-old Anthony "Joe" Cymerys cuts hair in the park for Connecticut's homeless. He uses a car battery and power inverter to run the electric clippers he uses to give haircuts. A retired real estate investor, he saw a need 25 years ago and decided to take the scissors into his own hands and has been a barber since. He gives them the full service: Cut, shave, scalp massage. Most of all he gives them respect, kindness, and makes them feel like family.
